Sweet Durian, Bitter Durian

There are some durians that are typically sweet, or some that are typically bitter.  But don't expect it to be 100% accurate to say a typical variety is sweet or bitter though some are characteristically more bitter or more sweet.

An example of some sweet durian varieties includes D13, D101, Red Prawns, etc.  However, you can still get bitter durians among these.

XO durian is more known to be bitter, but there are again, some that turned out sweet.

It will be inaccurate if anyone tells you Mao San Wang (MSW) aka Cat Mountain King, are sweet, or are bitter.  I can assure you, there are extremely bitter MSW, at the same time, there are sweet ones.
